受動態（１～５）

受動態のイディオム（１）

今日から受動態の形になるイディオムを取り上げます。過去分詞は形容詞化したものが多
いです。

■be known to ～　～に知られている

■be tired of ～, be fed up with ～, be bored with ～　～にうんざりしている
＝　be sick[weary] of ～
強調形　be sick and tired of ～　～に全くうんざりしている

■be acquainted with ～　～と知り合いである、～に精通している

■be[get] caught in ～　～に遭う
be[get] caught in a shower　にわか雨に遭う

■be absorbed in ～　～に夢中である

受動態のイディオム（２）

■be supposed to do　～することになっている
（否定で）　～してはいけないことになっている
これらの意味では能動態はない。

■be devoted to ～　～に専念する
＝　devote[dedicate] oneself to ～

■be composed of ～, be made up of ～　～からなる
＝　consist of ～

■be worried about ～　～について心配している

■be interested in ～　～に興味を持っている

受動態のイディオム（３） 

今日はconcern（～に関係する[心配させる]）を含むイディオムが３つあります。

■be concerned about ～　～について心配する

■be concerned in ～　～に関係する

■as far as A is concerned　Aに関して言えば
as far as I’m concerned　私に関して言えば

■be involved in ～　～に関係している[巻き込まれている]
get[become] involved in ～　～と関係する、～に巻き込まれる

■be moved[touched] by ～　～に感動する
move ～（～の心を動かす）、touch ～（～の心に触れる）から。

受動態のイディオム（４）

■be impressed by[with] ～　～に感動する

■be carried away by[with] ～　～に夢中になる
carry away ～, carry ～ away　～を夢中にさせる

■be obliged [compelled, forced] to do　～せざるをえない
oblige, compel, forceの順で意味が強くなります。

■be engaged to ～　～と婚約している
get engaged to ～　～と婚約する

■be married to ～　～と結婚している
get married to ～　～と結婚する

受動態のイディオム（５）

■be killed in ～　～で死ぬ
be killed in an accident　事故で死ぬ

■be based on ～　～に基づく

■be satisfied with ～　～に満足している

■be burnt to death　焼死する
toは「結果」を表す前置詞。

■be required to do　～することを求められている
